August 23, 2025, was a warm summer day in Mount Vernon, Washington, the perfect backdrop for Julie and Aaron’s garden wedding. Julie got ready in the charming schoolhouse on the property, surrounded by her closest friends and family.
The schoolhouse is one of my favorite features of Christiansen’s Nursery. It’s private, cozy, and filled with character, the perfect place for quiet moments before walking into your ceremony.
Thanks to Sheeco Wedding Planning, Julie and Aaron’s wedding day ran seamlessly from start to finish. Their ceremony took place in the garden just behind the schoolhouse, with flowers that Julie and her bridesmaids arranged themselves.
The setup was dreamy, effortless, and uniquely personal. Everything you’d want in a garden wedding ceremony. With lush greenery and colorful blooms all around, it was like stepping into a fairytale.
Planning your own Washington garden wedding? Let’s talk.
Here’s my photographer’s tip: the best times of year to get married at Christiansen’s Nursery are spring and late summer.
Both seasons offer incredible light for photos, comfortable weather, and a natural palette that makes your wedding feel effortlessly beautiful.
After their ceremony, Julie and Aaron and their guests moved to the rustic vinery on the property to celebrate. They ate, drank, and danced the night away surrounded by friends, family, and the cozy charm of the nursery.
The vinery is such a versatile space, it can feel laid-back and rustic or elevated and elegant, depending on how you style it. Pairing the vinery with the garden ceremony truly gives you the best of both worlds.
PS. Julie’s mom made this cake! How stinking beautiful is it??
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels intimate, romantic, and filled with natural beauty, then Christiansen’s Nursery might be the perfect fit. From the historic schoolhouse to the lush gardens and rustic barn, it’s a venue that brings charm, character, and effortless beauty all in one place.
As a Washington wedding photographer, I can honestly say this venue never disappoints — every corner of the property is photo-worthy.
